Oh, What do you do on Black Friday?

[Before you look at the pictures, may I apologize for the incredibly adorable little girl who likes to prance around in her underwear :)]

Oh, What do you do on Black Friday?
(sung to "Oh, what do you do in the Summertime?"...at least the way I sing it in my head, which is probably not at all correct.)

Oh, What do you do on black Friday, when all the stores are packed?
Do you make a pillow pit?
And jump on it?
And watch as your children fly by?!
So do I!

Christmas lists

As promised, here are our family's Christmas lists. I'd like you to pay special attention to Emma's first gift on her list (She wrote the whole thing backwards and right to left, I think that takes some kind of talent.). :) Please feel free to get them anything on their list, because sadly, I'm done shopping for their toys and didn't get anything on their list. I got better stuff :).
Liam-Remote car, transformer, a new game (PS3 or PS2), a book about animals, a big nerf gun, a scooby doo movie. :)
Emma- Doll house, baby, play food, kitchen, barbie movie. Unlisted, but that she's told me-baby, baby kitty, baby dog, pretty much if you go with anything baby, you should be good.

Fox has told me he wants a pumpkin...

Kira- Elf, Grinch who stole Christmas, muppets Christmas carol, Disney Universe-PS3, cute clothes (dress and sweater size 4-6, t-shirt 7-8, pants 6), $ to fix my old piano or just a new piano, any good cricut cartridges, tickets (air, and park) to Disneyland, preferably before Thanksgiving...

Tony-i-pad, apple tv, cannon T-1 (or any other nice camera), kitchen aid, HP deathly hallows, iron man 2, captain America, Thor.(We have a DVD and bluray player) (Do you notice that there is very little on this list that's under $50? How am I going to get this man anything?!)

Alright, there you go :)

It's winter!?

It's snowing right now. Big ol' fat flakes of snow.

This morning Emma got out of the bath tub and I started to get her dressed when she saw the sweater I had for her.
"I get to wear my sweater?!"
I said, "Yeah, because it's cold outside. It's snowing."
Getting all excited she exclaimed, "It's winter!?"
"um, yep."
"I didn't know it was winter already!"
"uh-huh"
"Do we still have our Christmas tree?!"
"No, we still have to have Thanksgiving."
"But I didn't know it was Christmas!"

I gave up.

When I told Tony he said, "Great. We are going to have a kid that gets just as excited about Christmas as you do."
He's a little bit weary about it because a few nights ago I couldn't sleep because I was so excited about Christmas. It's a ways away. I know. I just can't help myself.

Then as she was looking out our back window at our cars she said, "Mom! We need to shave our cars! They have snow all over them!"

Man, I love this time of year. And kids that get excited about it like I do. :)

us Bundy's love free stuff

Last month the company we rent from did a Halloween coloring contest. Our three kids all entered, and I'm pretty sure they were 3 of 6, so they all won!! WooHoo!! They each won a $5 gift certificate to Dairy Queen. So here we are being treated to dinner by our kids! It was awesome. I highly recommend having your kids pay for your dinner.

Every 1st Saturday of the month Home Depot offers a free project for kids to do. So this past Saturday we took the kids and they got to build their own wooden picture frames. They hammered the nails in place (with a little bit of help) and paint it! They enjoyed it. And I enjoyed seeing them with goggles on.

Man, I love free entertainment and stuff

Halloween day 2011

Halloween this year was slightly funky. In Davenport they do Halloween on the 30th and then the neighboring town does it on the 31st (why? I'm not sure. So the kids can get more candy? Or I think its because they have police patrol the streets in one town and then the other. It's crazy. They even have a curfew of like 8 or something...anywho) So seeing as the 30th was a Sunday we decide not to go out, and we had the missionaries over...so it was a ghostly evening...as in holy ghost....
Then on Halloween we did a couple of spooky activities with the kids. We made paper pumpkins, played pumpkin bowling, made bubbly potions (not pictured) and ate spooky face quesadillas and a spidery cake.

Fox may or may not have dug giant finger-fulls of cake out before I was able to take a picture :)

Pumpkin carving

For family home evening we designed and carved pumpkins! Yippie!! ;)

Can you guess who's is who's?

Pumpkin heart nose-Emma
Pumpkin with teeth-Liam
Pumpkin eating another pumpkin-Kira and Fox
Sonic-Tony (he cheated and got a template of the internet...cheater)

On a sadder note, I think my camera is on the the fritz (that's a saying right?). It wont let me change the settings anymore. Unfortunately, right before it stopped working right I had it on a setting that I thought would look cool for the pumpkins which made little stars show up wherever there was light...it looked lame on the pumpkins, and now its stuck. So if from now on all my pictures have little stars on them, you'll know why. (Auntie Bobbie, if you get in any fancy camera's you want to sell me, I'll buy it ;) and I'll even pay for shipping to get it out here :))
