Baby Ander Photo Shoot

So I know I haven't been on here forever and I have about a million post to do, but I wanted to throw this one up there real quick.

A friend of mine came over a few days ago and did a photo shoot of Ander. I LOVE the way they all turned out.

I have the cutest kids. ;) The ones where he is naked and on the blanket...yeah, that's me underneath it. Guess who got peed all over during this shoot? Just so you can see the extreme measures we go to for a good photo.

Ander's Birth Story

Ander Bryan Bundy
Born on October 28th at 10:40am
Weighing 9 lbs. 6 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long

I figure I had better get this stuff down before I completely forget everything that happened.

Ander was a little bit different than all my other kids. It could be because this time I was going to have a hospital birth, or the fact that I was away from family and friends, but he was different.

I'm going to say I started into labor 3+ weeks before he came. That sounds crazy, but I think it may be true. About 3 weeks before he came I was having consistent and fairly intense contractions. I even texted Tony and gave him the heads up that something may be happening. I then went to Walmart and Kohl's with Fox and was having a super hard time walking and I'm sure my face was red and sweaty as the contractions got a little more intense. I headed home and decided to lay down and relax. The contractions continued for the rest of the day then went away that night.

Over the next few weeks I had several episodes just the same, where I was certain that I was in labor. The contractions would be consistent and fairly intense and then go away at night. It was annoying. And I cried more than once about it, because I felt like I couldn't read my own body and couldn't figure out if I was really in labor or not.

The day before Ander came I had a total meltdown. I had once again been sure that I was in labor the night before and then woke up to nothing (and Saturday was my due date). I cried and snotted all over Tony :). We decided to go on a walk, which was awesome, then I came home and decided I needed to buck up and get ready for church (I seriously considered not going to, so I didn't get the dumb comments or pity looks...which I got). We went and had a normal Sunday with a few contractions here and there.

Sunday night/Monday morning I had a few contractions that woke me up, but I didn't think anything of it because I had been having the same things for the last couple of weeks. Monday morning I woke up and got the kids ready for school and sent them off. During that time I had a few contractions that were getting a little more intense but not consistent. Around 8:30-9 Yvonne used an essential oil on me that got the contractions to become regular and they started to get more intense. I called/texted our set up baby sitter and received no answer at first and then around 9:30 she texted and said to bring him on over. 10ish we loaded Fox into the car and took him over to our friends house.

At 10:15 I texted my Mom and Dad with "On our way to the hospital." The contractions were getting super intense at this point, I had one or two in the car, which about killed me, because I am not use to sitting/laying down during contractions. I have to be up moving. When we got to the hospital they were even more intense. I had to stop and rock through a few, then walked through one so I didn't look stupid in front of the hospital staff (that was really hard!).

We made it up to the "birthways" floor, where I gave my name and the nurse started to walk us back to our room. I had to stop once for a contraction on the way back. Once in the room the nurse gave me a gown and told me to change and that see would be right back. I had one intense contraction before I changed then I quickly changed before I had another one. During this one I felt immense pressure and said to Tony, "this baby wants to come!" Yvonne heard that and decided she had better go to the bathroom and wash up, just in case. The next contraction broke my water, which was like an explosion of water.

The nurse put down some pads, to soak up the water,  then asked me to get on the bed. I started to waddle over to the bed when the next contraction came, and I knew Ander was coming and said so to Tony. The nurse kept saying, "Get her on the bed! Get her on the bed!" To which I replied (I guess, I didn't realize I said it out loud), "I can't!" Which was true. I literally couldn't move. Tony reached down and caught his head. The nurse quickly called something like, "emergency delivery team to room 469!" Then, when that contraction passed, they tipped me on to the bed. (Literally. I was on the bed sideways with my head hanging off.  Luckily Yvonne and the nurse took over for Tony so he could come and prop me up.) Then as staff came running in I had my next contraction and the rest of him was born. He was born at 10:40 am.

They laid him on my stomach and kept saying, "Look! Its your baby!" I looked, but I don't know that I registered much. I was still in shock. It was real quick. My midwife showed up to deliver the placenta at 10:48 and to sew me up (Luckily I only had a few first-degree tears). Then it was over. And I had a baby. I mostly was in shock all of Monday.

But luckily he's a super cute baby! Its always so amazing to watch them change from when they are first born and see has they change looks right in front of your eyes as the swelling and such go down. He's adorable and we love him. And there will be another post of all his cuteness, but I haven't got the bizzillion pictures that we have taken of him on here yet. I do have a few that Yvonne had on her phone so here they are and expect another post of even more of this adorable little boy.

Christmas Lists 2013

Holy smokes. You have no idea how long these suckers took to upload. I'll have to find a new way to scan these so they don't take so long.

Here are our annual Christmas lists. I actually made the kids write them out the beginning of September. I once again will Mom-translate them for you. And the ones with a * next to them are ones that Santa or Mom and Dad may or may not be thinking about getting...wink, wink. The kids drew stars next to the ones they really want on their papers.

After reading through these again I realized that I need to say that we told the kids they could write anything they wanted on their list...anything at all. It doesn't mean they will get it, but they can write anything. They came up with some pretty awesome stuff.

What's been going on

Yep, I'm still pregnant. Here's my 39 weeks and 1 day photo. Yes, I do believe I did just eat a watermelon whole...either that or shoved a basketball under my shirt...now if only I could have this baby and have that watermelon/basketball shape disappear and magically be back to my original size. Ah, but the scale says I'm going to have to do a little more work than that ;).

We are super excited to have this little one join our family! Mostly we (I) can't wait!! We are all prepped (as best you can be), packaged (that's right, I've now bought all the diapers, nursing stuff, clothes, ect.) and ready to go. Now if he'd/my body would just jump on board we'd be off :).

The kids are excited too, I think. Fox will randomly run up to my stomach, put his face right next to it and say/yell "Hi, baby!" Then run off. Emma last night prayed that the baby would come out soon. After the prayer she said, "Mom, I prayed that the baby would come out soon, because I really want to see what he looks like." Me too, Emma. Me too.

I've been having many contractions/pre-labor/braxton hicks for the last couple days. So many so that I've thought I was in labor more than once in the past 3 days. But they have yet to produce anything...which is frustrating. I've had one melt down already (which is customary for my baby having), so only like 3 more to go until it's the real thing...and then the 20 or so after the baby gets here and I remember how tiring and hard it can be ;). Good thing these kids are so dang cute!

But I am excited and for the most part in fairly good spirits. I know I wont be pregnant forever...right? I've been trying to stay busy mostly with this little boy, who makes it hard not to stay busy.

Backwards day...or at least he decided it was backwards day in his mind. And yes, even his underwear is on backwards.

Trying on all the jewelry in the store

Super sweet glasses from preschool. I think its a good look for him.

So there you have it. Hopefully the next post will be of some cute little baby. If not, that's cool (I'm working on my patience ;)), this little boy will be here some time...right?

Tony's birthday

My hansom husband turned 34 on October 12 this year (he's so old ;))! Grandma Bundy had flown in just a few days before, so we decided it would be fun to head to Omaha for Tony's birthday. The Winter Quarters temple (our temple) is there and we had yet to go to it. So bright and early on the 12th we loaded the kids into the car and headed out (it's a 2 1/2- 3 hour trip). Grandma Bundy was kind enough to hang out with the kids while Tony and I were able to do a session. It was awesome and at 38 weeks pregnant, very entertaining. :) I did get a lot of "you're so cute" and "please don't have the baby today" comments. It was super fun and well needed.

After the temple we headed to Omaha zoo. We got there around 1:00 and stayed until they closed at 6:00 and probably only saw about 1/3 of the zoo! It's huge!! So get ready for an overhaul of pictures. And it seems the computer just threw them in wherever, so they are not in order :)

It was a great day and a good way to celebrate such a great guy! Happy birthday, Tony!!

Happy Birthday Fox!!

My baby boy turned 4 on October 5th. All I can say is good thing that I have another one on the way, or this birthday would have been way too hard ;). I keep telling Fox that he has to stay my baby and stop growing, and he always answers that I have another baby in my tummy, so I should stop worrying about it. :)

We love our Fox. He is so sweet, silly, crazy, and the biggest tease. His mind is always going and we can't get him to shut up (Really. Grandma Bundy has been here for just over a week and even she has commented on his constant talking.). I love it and it exhausts me all at the same time :).

He is all about super heroes right now. He loves the Hulk, Batman, Captain America, any of the Avengers, ect.  He also is into a "is this real?" phase. "Mom, are dragons real?" "Mom, are tornados real?" "Mom, is Nacho (El Macho on Despicable Me 2) real?" It's mostly a constant thing, and we try to answer as best and honestly as we can.

He is one of my best buddies. I love him with all of my heart. And even though sometimes I wish he would stop talking for just a little while sometimes, I love to hear what he has to say and see a little glimpse of how his mind works. He makes me very happy, and I am so grateful that he is mine.

(Tony helped make already messy Emma and Fox a little bit messier)

Happy birthday Super Fox!!
