So the other day the family was driving and we drove past Applebee's. My kids yelled out, as they do every time, "Applebee's!!" How they learned the Applebee's logo I will never know. I don't think we have ever eaten there. A few minutes later this is what I hear.
Emma: Do apples really have bees in them?
Liam: Yes.
Emma: (after contemplating Liam's answer for a minute) What kind of apples?
Liam: Dead ones.
Emma was playing with Fox and in the process pulled his pants down to the bottom of his bum.
Me: Well, now what is Fox going to do? His pants are pulled down.
Emma: Oh. (and then proceeds to pull his shirt down over his bottom)
Emma often waits until the very last second to run into the bathroom, which results in many unnecessary accidents. This is what she said to me after one such instant.
Emma: (sadly) Mommy, I went potty in my pants.
(a few seconds later, much more happily) I didn't go potty on your floor though!... Really, I didn't!
I am happy to report that Fox has learned to zerbert people tummies. He pretty hilarious/scary when he does it also. He comes crawling at you with his mouth wide open and yelling and without stoping slams his face into your stomach and blows. He gets some awesome vibration/sound. He may be the best zerberter of the family. :)
Fox also has learned to dance. His body stays completely still except for his arms which bounce to the beat. Pretty well, I might add. I think he may become a musician...right after his pro zerberting career of course.
We do a lot of dancing around our house lately. We have two main song that we love and must dance to. The first is the
Waka waka song by Shakira, and the second is Kelly Clarkson's,
My life would suck without you. Emma's very favorite part in the Shakira song is where they say, "biggy, biggy mama" or something that sounds like that. She'll always ask when they are going to sing it and then, without fail, cracks up when they do. In Kelly Clarkson's song everyone goes about their business until the chorus. Then we all have to jump to it. We can't help it. It's a must. Try listening to that song and not jumping during the chorus. I'll bet you can't do it.
I wish I could think of something funny that Liam has said. I know that he has said many hilarious things, because I remember laughing, I just can't remember what provoked the chuckles. This darn Mom brain is killing me. I use to make fun of my mom for calling one thing something else...I will never do that again. I can't even count the number of times my kids have corrected me.
"Liam, put this in your diaper bag."
"You mean backpack?"
"Oh, yeah, that."
"Emma, please don't jump on your bed."
(after an odd look) "you mean couch?"
"Yes that! Don't jump on it!"
I don't know how I got to be this way. Next thing you know I will be telling my kids not to forget to unplug the fridge. (A Mom Clark classic :))
