Let's Go Fly a Kite

During Spring Break last week, the kids and I decided that it would be fun to go and fly a kite. So we packed everyone up and headed down to Central school. It was awesome! I was a little bit nervous about taking the kids by myself, trying to entertain them and manage to get a kite up in the air, but as soon as I got there the wind took a hold of the kite. I didn't even have to throw it, or run! And then the kite stayed up the whole time until I wound it back down when we were ready to leave. Everyone had a chance to hold on to the kite, and we had a great time!

Emma flying the kite

For some reason Emma thought she had to run while flying the kite
Even Fox got to fly the kite!
He's the best kite flyer ever!!
And he's extra cute, even when he's drooling :)

Blue Skies

Hooray!! For the last two days, it's finally been blue skies here in Utah!! The mud has dried up, and the weather has warmed up, leaving the kids able to go outside!! Yippie (for them and me :)) They found half a shovel out side and decided it would be fun to dig with it. ...My kids and dirt, I don't get it, but they love it!!

Emma looking quite pleased at the dirt she was digging up.
Liam modeling the shovel while Emma had a "bug" in her eye (or at least that's what she told me)
Emma found the shovel but clearly digging is a "man's" job (or so Liam thinks)

Emma hasn't quite learned the basics of digging yet. Like the fact that you have to stand up. No wonder Liam took the shovel. :)
Me and Liam outside! (I didn't even have a coat on! Crazy.)
Emma and I (we're pretty cute girls, if I do say so myself :))
Hooray, for warm weather and blue skies!! Hopefully it stays that way...at least for a while :)

Emotions

There are a few things so far in my life that have brought up nearly every single emotion that I have in my body at once. Child birth is one of those things. At about 8 1/2- 9 months pregnant I feel happy and excited about having a new little being coming, scared to death/nervous about actually going through birth, stressed trying to get everything ready, and every once in a while I cry for no reason. This move is giving me the same sensation. I am happy and excited to be back with Tony and in my own living space, sad to be leaving my family and friends, nervous about leaving my hometown and comforts, stressed because of it all, and every once in a while I cry for no reason or I am mad for who knows why.
I'm afraid this move is going to kill me...
but I thought the same thing about childbirth, and although at times I thought I was going to die I made it, and I have the beautiful fruits of my labor. Hopefully this move produces such fruits. That are just as cute. :)

6 months old!!

Fox is six months old today!!

You like sweet potatoes, carrots, biter biscuit, mostly any food that anyone will give you, except rice cereal. You love your brother and sister, they always make you smile, and Grammy, Grandma, and Grandpa. Sierra may be your favorite person in the world. I'm not quite sure if it's because she looks like me or if you just real like her, but you'll really start bobbing when she comes to pick you up. You chew on everything you can get in your mouth. Lately I've been putting a binkie in your mouth and you don't suck on it you just bite down real hard and it shoots out, it's real funny. You are sitting up now, and you rock like you are in a rocking chair when you sit up. You're always happy as long as all your needs are met. You miss your Dad and smile when you hear his voice on the phone. You giggle extra cute and are real ticklish. You don't like being wet or stinky, or if people scare you. You make everyone happy, and are so darn cute! Happy six month un-birthday! We love you!

(Andy, Liam, and Gracie)
(Mallory, Magnum, and Emma)
Mags found one!! (with a little help from Mom and Dad :) )
Emma finding eggs
The adult egg hunt was downstairs and was like a herd of angry buffalo!!
Elbows were thrown, couches were jumped, and eggs were hoarded.
(Brad and Sarai after the hunt)
Until there was nothing left but a barren shell ;)
(Tom and Sophie after the hunt)
And all I was left with was one egg...given to me out of pity from my brother Brad.
That's right I didn't get a single egg! They were like locusts, Gobbling up all eggs in there path!
I gave my one egg to my kids. (It's okay because I eat their candy any ways :) )
(my one egg in my bag)
The candy was sooooo good!
(chocolate covered Mal)

Happy Easter Everyone! I am so grateful to my savior! Grateful for his great sacrifice so that I know that I can always be with all of my loved ones, even if they do elbow, and steal eggs ;). I am grateful for the knowledge that when someone leaves this world it is not the end. I testify that Christ has died, but by dying the greatest miracle happened, he was resurrected! After death he once again walked the earth showing the wounds from his sacrifice for us! And by this action we too can be resurrected! Death is not the end! And I know that my family can and will be together again. He has risen, and so can we.

Easter Egg Coloring

First you start with the color. (Yes we had 11 different colors...they all came in one box!!)
Then you draw on them with crayons
Pick the color you want and let the egg sit in it.
Color with crayon some more (Stevie and Sierra)

And Wa-la!! Beautiful Easter eggs!!

And then Sierra got bored and decided to give herself a face lift with a rubber band.
Lovely.
Tom helped out.
Happy Easter everyone!!
Easter from a two year old's perspective: "Jesus died, and then he came back alive!! And after I die I can come back alive, maybe not right away though." (by Emma)
